Blue android emoticons on fascinate?

What does this guy mean? I have an android samsung fascinate and just today after I was talking to my boyfriend I noticed a blue android emoticon next to his name and number while we were on the phone. I have never seen that before during any call and I was wondering what it meant? I have him marked as a favorite in my contacts along with all my friends, but I do talk to him a bit more than my other friends. The blue emoticon looked like a two-tiered cake face with two candle looking things as tentacles on his head and two darked out eyes and a straight mouth. I tried googling it, but no luck. Anyone know what this could be??? Thank you!
