How to view bbm and iphone emoticon on computer web browser?

Is it possible to view the emoticons from BlackBerry and iPhone on your normal computer web browser? Because I am kinda getting sick of just seeing little boxes with numbers in them not knowing what the little emoticon is meant to be.
