Will warm salty water help with my scaffolding piercing?

I got my scaffolding piercing done two days ago and I am currently using the aftercare spray they gave me. But I am not all confident in that so I would like to know if salty water is more effective and if it is a better alternative than the spray? Also about how long until swelling goes down? Thanks :D
